There is actually a really cool story behind this mala.

A few months ago my husband and I went to a place that does crystal bowl meditation. Now the original plan was to go to a Zen center a few hours away, but some how that didn't work out, and we ended up here, which I believe was where the universe wanted us to be.

As the bowls played, we were guided into a forest (in our minds). As we pulled the details of our surroundings together, we were to imagine a tree. My tree was large, luscious, and full of life. The colors pink, red, and blue bloomed forth in big colorful balls from the tree at different moments. The tree also breathed with me. It expanded when I inhaled, shrunk a bit with my exhale. There was this white pure light around the entire thing. As I went over to the tree I felt an extremely connective energy between the two of us. I climbed up into the tree-This magnificently brilliant tree that radiated out such power and presence. As I climbed through, I still saw colors red, pink, and blue bursting throughout. I stopped and drifted away peacefully on one of the branches and stayed like that for a while. Slowly but surely I began to fall gracefully. A branch would catch me, then I'd slip off that one and another would catch me, and this pattern continued until I reached the ground.
After the meditation was through the man who lead us through our journey asked if a few of us would share what we saw. I worked up the nerve and shared my vision with everyone. This man was highly intuitive, and is very good at reading people's energy (with their permission). He asked if I was an artist. I told him I was a musician and also a jewelry maker. He told me from what I described, I was very in tune with my inner self and my chakras. The colors I was seeing most likely corresponded directly to the bowls that were being played. He told me that sometimes I feel like I'm falling, like I'm lost... but I don't have to worry because the universe is always there to catch me. He said to try to use what I saw in my work. So that's what I did. I'm not sure where else this kind of thing is supposed to lead me, to be honest some of the stuff he told me was kind of confusing; but I have a feeling that my inner self is going to lead me to create all sorts of beautiful things. This is only the beginning.
The tree equals us- our inner being- our inner consciousness; the vibrant energy within ourselves that we forget we have. This meditation was meant for us to come back home. Come back to who we are because we are so intertwined in this busy world with all sorts of people carrying all sorts of different outside energy into our homes, our place of work, and we get lost.
:] Anyway, this is what I came up with. Isn't it beautiful??
I made this mala using white buri seed beads, rose quarts, blue limestone, red carnelian, and a red czech glass bead. The colors are not in the family of what I saw, they are pretty much the exact same colors I saw during meditation. I was glad I had the materials on hand. This is also what started my journey into studying crystal/gem properties more. This is going to bring a lot of great things to the wearer.
So what do you think?? I'd love to hear feedback!
