Yoga Love 6.27.12

356/365 by Jiuck

Time for some yoga love! Just sharing a few inspiring things from the interwebs.

"How many times have you walked down the street oblivious to your surroundings? How many times have you just walked down the street? I’ve done it; we all have. You’re practically sprinting between the “sidewalk shufflers”, head down, ear buds a-‘blazin’, cell phone in hand, and sunglasses perched on the bridge of your nose. You see nothing else except the numbers ticking down on the crosswalk signal."

-- Asanas For The Chakra System  :: I found this to be really informative. I am a firm believer in keeping the chakras in check as much as possible - this resource will definitely help with that.

-- I absolutely LOVE the way Erica prepares for her classes - especially the stick figures! I've began doing a similar technique myself when I prepare my sequences at home. I've found it be a lot of fun, and mapping things out helps my practice flow so much easier.

-- Easy Does Not Equal Lazy
"My yoga practice is a constant evolution: a balancing act.  I show up, every day, and I work with what I have in any given moment.  I take the small steps to strengthen, lengthen, open and release. I do what feels right, what feels “easy”, and I have learned to dial back, and steer clear of anything that doesn’t feel right.  To me, there is nothing lazy about that."

-- Drooling over these GORGEOUS meditation benches! Totally manifesting one for myself. We'll see how that goes!

-- 10 Ways to Bring Mindfulness to Your Workday

That's it for this week! I hope you have a magnificent Wednesday.

Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti :)
