I've been brainstorming a lot about what was next for Shanti Presence. I love making mala beads, but I wanted to expand my creative horizons beyond just making mala beads. I wanted to make more jewelry inspired by yoga, peace, and love.
From this urge to create something new, this Ganesha inspired necklace was born! I love necklaces and bracelets like this and when I found this beautiful pendant I knew I'd have a fun project on my hands.
I love Ganesh. He seems so fun to me. When I started studying about the deities, Ganesh was the one that I was drawn to the most. I'm still not entirely why I'm drawn to him so much, but that's okay. Maybe as a creative spirit I feel that I need Ganesh's presence. Who knows. I just love all that he represents.
For those who don't know, Ganesha or Ganesh is apart of the Hindu culture. He is known to be the remover of all obstacles. Whenever you are starting a new project, Ganesh is the perfect one to aid you in making sure nothing gets in the way of what you want to accomplish.

Not only is Ganesh the remover of obstacles, but he also purposely places obstacles in our path. So for those of us who have received rude awakenings, or wake up calls when something just shook us up and turned our world upside down, that might be Ganesh stepping in to help you learn something.
I very much love everything about this necklace. I love the bronze pendant and I love the colors of the thread. I also feel that it has a little bit more of my personality in it. I hope to make more necklaces like this in the future. What do you think?
Have a great Friday!
